As I type this the snow is flying down, and those early traces of Spring I got so excited about seem far away. But it is coming I promise! So while we wait, here are some lovely indoor and outdoor creative ways to embrace Spring.
Once Easter is on the horizon all kinds of fun opportunities to bake emerge!
Over at Cat’s Yellow Days I am salivating over these simnel cupcakes, I love almond flavours and they look much more achievable than my simnel cake a few years back! I’m also bookmarking this post on non chocolate Easter gifts, my daughter hasn’t eaten chocolate since she overdid it last Easter.
I’m a big fan of simple bakes that look the part which is why I am looking to Cass at Frugal Family whose Creme Egg Cupcakes look fab and also happen to be decorated with my favourite egg! Check out her Easter cupcakes with printable toppers too, I know my little baker would love this mix of craft and baking.
A Spring Garden
Express what Spring means to you
This leads me neatly onto Mich, at Mummy From The Heart, who reminds me that whether this season has religious meaning, or seasonal meaning, it’s lovely to share and express that with your kids. As a Christian Mich loves to express her families beliefs creatively and writes here about creating Easter memories. We might not be religious, but I love my kids to show their appreciation for spring and the new life and regrowth and amazing changes in nature it brings. Like Michelle I will also be making time to get to my favourite National Trust places, and hopefully see lots of lambs too. Mich visited National Trust Petworth House, in Sussex, I love the daffodils!
Wishing you a lovely Spring! How are you getting creative to welcome Spring?
